For this week in object and design, I watched Gary Hustwit's feature-length documentary: Objectified https://documentaryheaven.com/objectified/ explore the everyday non-living objects our daily lives in this project I used Tinkercad to make a peeler and more images below because in response in because how simple a peeler is to the everyday person and use of it, the design looks simple but how we use it where maker and designers think how people can use it but in documentary 1:30 "more than form, materials, how we as consumers touch it and feel it". In the documentary "every object has a story" because on 5:26 is when I saw a peeler. For me, I thought a peeler was it look so simple but a design that's were got me thinking even the simple items need improvement.
For design Looking at extremes the weakest person with arthritis or an athlete or the strongest and fastest know the extremes, the middle will take care of itself.
In documentary 6:33 see as the viewer is different peeler hands, Sam Farber is a friend told Davin Stonwell while making an apple tart the peeler that was hurting her hands and has arthritis and could not hold long, then here a project that nobody really thought about if you make it work for people then make work for everyone, that's why Davin and Dan Formsa design and came up with ideas for peeler Bigger handle, easier to grasp, studies shapes of the handle, the size. size works for everyone, the bicycle grip, there lot drawing.
